The Illinois Dynasty Football League is an off shoot of KSL. None of the records held in IDFL are used in the KSL record books.

Bylaws

IDFL Bylaws are similar to KSL's bylaws but there are some subtle differences.

Season

IDFL Season is 16 weeks long. There are 2 divisions of 5 teams and you play each person in your division twice. Playoff seeding is set up much like the NFL. 6 teams make it in the playoffs with the divisional winners getting a first round bye. There will be playoff reseeding to accommodate for the top seed to play the lowest seeded team. Tiebreakers for the seeds will be based on NFL rules. This means that head to head matchups mean more. If the 7th seed has a win over the 6th seed and they have the same record, then it will be manually changed by the commissioner.

Dynasty

The rules of IDFL's Dynasty are as follows. You can keep any player you have in the round you drafted them but in the following year they will be moved up 2 spots from where you drafted them. Therefore, if you drafted Tom Brady in the 6th round, he will be your 4th round pick the following year. If a player is traded to another team, then that player will be used in that round where you drafted that person. If a player trades away his draft pick, then they cannot keep a player in that spot and in fact lose that player. If an owner picks up a player during the regular season then that player will be inserted in at the week they picked them up but if the owner chooses to keep a player in that spot then they can move up the waiver wire pickup into an earlier slot. All teams not in the playoffs will be locked so they cannot pick up players on IR in order to game the system.
