For the 20th season in KSL we decided to have the divisions set up to be the order of when people joined. So they became known as the Founders, Mainstays and Newbies despite the fact many of the newbies have been with us for 10 years.

Weeks 1-5

The Founders had a rocky start but Andy was able to be the top person at 3-2. Aaron had won 2 key divisional matchups and was 2-3. Meanwhile, Brian had only 1 win and Dave Pate was winless.

The Mainstays had stiff competition with Oberg, Ty Boardman being 3-2 and Doug, Ty Palmer being 2-3. We saw the divisional leader change hands multiple times in this 5 week stretch

The Newbies saw Cameron jump out to a 5-0 lead whereas Travis was right behind him at 4-1. Nanninga was at a healthy 3-2 and Erik was sitting at 2-3.

Weeks 6-10

Dave Pate was able to turn things around and win 3 of his next 5 games to get into contention for divisional leader. Meanwhile, Aaron won a key game against Andy to take the divisional lead. Andy had a rough stretch and only won 1 of his 5 games. Brian won a key game against Dave but otherwise stayed at 2-3 for these games.

Doug came back strong and won 4 in a row to take charge of his division. Not to be outdone, Oberg and TyBo won 3 each and Palmer won 2. This division saw a change in leaders a few times until Doug finally took it over.

Cam continued his winning ways by taking 4 of 5 game and finishing 9-1 for the year so far. Erik was able to win 3 games and turn things around. Travis had a short 3 game losing streak to fall back in his division and Nanninga only won one game against Ty Boardman during these weeks.

Weeks 11-14

The Founders division went down as the weakest division this season with Aaron finishing 6-8 and as the only person making the playoffs for his division. Andy had a shot at being that leader but after losing to Aaron in Week 13, his hopes were dashed. Dave won 3 of his final 4 games but lost out on points and divisional record to Aaron. Brian lost 3 of his last 4 games and missed the playoffs.

Ty Palmer finished the season strong and won his final 4 games to make it into the playoffs. Doug had the tie breaker over Ty and secured his spot as the #2 seed despite losing 2 of the final 4 games. Ty Boardman also lucked his way in by having a tie breaker over Oberg who barely missed the playoffs by only a few points for.

Cameron lost his final 4 games but still finished 9-5 and was the #1 seed in the playoffs. Erik won 3 of his final 4 games to finish 8-6 and would have been the #1 seed had he won one more game. Travis also finished strong at 8-6 and would have taken the division had he won one more game. Nanninga won 3 of his final 4 games to just barely make it into the playoffs.

Playoffs

Cameron Lincoln had a rough end to the season but with the playoffs here, he was able to get revenge on Ty Boardman who put an end to his undefeated streak. We also had Dave Nanninga upset Doug Hahn along with Ty Palmer upsetting Aaron Hughes. Erik VanHyfte was able to defeat division rival Travis Peterson in the first round and move on in the playoffs.

In round 2 we saw #7 Dave Nanninga upset #1 Cameron Lincoln. This marked the 3rd time in a row Dave made it to the finals. We also saw Erik VanHyfte take down Ty Palmer.

In the finals, Erik made short work and defeated Dave Nanninga in the opening minutes of the playoff race due to the Bengals putting up ridiculous numbers and Erik having the QB/WR duo.

This was Erik's second win in 5 years.
