Ryan was part of the expansion that happened during the 2008 season.

2008 - Championship Run

With the expansion in 2008, Ryan joined his IBWIP partner Blake in his division. Ryan joined newcomer Travis for the first year in MFL. Ryan had a bad start to the year by losing his first 4 games. However, Ryan came back and won 7 of his next 8. In the first round of the playoffs he defeated an ownerless McConnell. For the second round he beat division winner Blake. In the Conference finals he beat the red hot Aaron Hughes. In the finals Ryan took on Andrew Hughes who went 9-3 during the regular season. Ryan was able to win the 2008 Championship.

Ryan won 11 of his last 12 games including the playoffs. Had Ryan lost one of those matches then the playoff seeding would have been different and he wouldn't have gone as deep. One of the things about this team that surprised everyone is that Ryan was absent for the draft. He had done the first couple rounds and set an autopick lineup.

2009 - Absentee Owner

Ryan was set to join the league in 2009 but after he failed to show up for the draft, his team was drafted by the commissioner and another owner instead. Ryan was given the info to log in and sign up but he never came back. Ryan's team was managed but not to the extent that other teams were managed. Surprisingly, Ryan won his first two games but lost his next three before beating Aaron for the second time that year. Ryan lost three more games but he beat his next two opponents and finished 5-7 for the year. In the playoffs, he took on Aaron first round but couldn't beat him for a third time. Next he lost to Oberg and then Mike and finally to Andrew.

Legacy

Ryan's best legacy is the run he made during the 2008 season.
