In the World of KSL there are things that happen that have become Legend and some that become Nightmares. Below are some amazing feats that have happened in the world of KSL.

KSL Lore

Being the #1 seed isn't as much of a blessing as one would think. In 2002, 2010, 2014 the #1 Seed made it to the Championship Game but lost. From 2005-07 the #1 seed went out in the first round. In 2008-09 KSL moved to MFL where you received a first round bye. In 2008 the #1 seed made it to the Championship match but lost. In 2009 the #1 seed actually won the Matchett Cup. In 2012 the #1 seed made it past the first round but was beat in the second round despite scoring the second most points that week.

In 12 seasons of the KSL Playoffs, 8 times the Matchett Cup Champion won the final game in the regular season. In 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015 the eventual Champion lost in the week before the playoffs.

Ever since KSL moved to a model where people couldn't make the playoffs, every year a team that starts 3-1 misses the playoffs except for 2013 and 2015. 2015 saw no team at 3-1.
