In the 2009 season, KSL stayed with MFL for one final season. KSL saw the departure of Andy McConnell and the addition of Dave Nanninga. Ryan Skender had initially joined the league but didn't touch his team at all. The 2009 season saw Three owners break out to a big lead at the beginning and a couple others fall early on.

KSL was broken into 2 conferences and 2 divisions within each conference. You played everyone in your division twice for a total of 6 games and everyone in the other division once for 4 more games. To round out the last two we had interconference games that took place. The first game saw the top owners take on each other and then the next game saw owners choose their opponents.

Legacy

Ty Palmer almost became the first owner in KSL history to go undefeated but Ty Boardman thwarted his attempts at being perfect. In the interconference games we saw two undefeated teams take on each other in what was one of the best games of the season. We also saw these two meet again in the finals for a round 2 match. This was the second and final season for KSL in MFL. We took many of the experiences of MFL with us to Yahoo and improved the next few seasons.
