Blake Clayton joined KSL when it permanently moved to a head-to-head based system in 2005. Blake had great rivalries with Andrew and Aaron Hughes.

2005-2007 - Playoffs

In 2005 Blake had only won 2 games in his first 8. Eventually, he finished the year strong by winning 4 in a row and finishing 6-8. Blake beat Brian in the first round before besting Andy in the second. Finally, in the championship match, Blake fell short to Russ Hughes.

Blake was determined to make it back to the big game in 2006. However, he dropped 7 of his first 8 games. Blake was able to make a comeback later in the year by winning 4 straight and eventually finishing 5-9. Blake was the 8th seed and he took on the highly favored Brian (12-2). Blake was able to pull off the upset in the first round but he fell victim to Aaron in the second round.

In 2007 KSL added 4 new teams to expand to 12 owners. During this time, Blake was able to keep up with the changes. Despite winning only 2 of his first 6, he was able to go on and win 6 of his next 7 and finish 8-5. In the first round of the playoffs, Blake defeated Kevin to advance to the second round for the second year in a row. However, Blake lost to Mike in the second round.

From 2005-2007 Blake made it past the first round and he fell victim to the winner that year. In 2005 he had the chance to make it all the way to the championship but was unable to finish the job.

2008-2010 - Falling from the top

For the 2008 season, Blake may have lost his first game but won his next 5 in a row. Blake was able to continue his winning ways and he finished 8-4 and was the divisional winner. Blake had a round one bye but in the second round he fell victim to his IBWIP cohost Ryan Skender. Just like the previous 3 years, Ryan went on to win it all.

2009 was a tougher year for Blake. He dropped 3 of his first 4 including a match against Aaron, who up until that game he had never lost to in the regular season. Blake did bounce back and win 5 of his next 6 to finish 6-6 for the year and earn the 5th seed in the playoffs. For the first time in Blake's career, he lost in the first round of the playoffs, this time to Joe Snider. Blake had a good year and was able to make it to the playoffs but he had lost two matches to Aaron and was unable to get over the hurdle that was Joe.

In 2010, Blake was only able to win in 2 of his first 5 games. Many thought he would bounce back from this rough start but instead Blake dropped 8 in a row which would've been a record except Travis dropped 11 straight that same year. Blake seemed to be on his way out and after the season was over, it was confirmed, 2010 was his last season in KSL.

Legacy

Blake was one of the best owners in KSL. He eventually had to quit KSL due to personal reasons. Blake had some great rivalries within KSL. He went 5-3 against Aaron, but went 2-7 against Andrew and 1-5 against Dave Pate.

Blake leaves behind a fun legacy that showed off in his first few years that even a team that had a rough season could be very dangerous in the playoffs.
